[Alex has been restless all morning, but he knows well enough why this is. However, unlike the first shift that had proven such a complete and total fuck up, Alex has been very attentive and careful about getting out with ample time

[Alex actually grins a bit wryly at Kevas' response.]
Well on my way, big guy, well on my way .. no need to hogtie or toss anyone anywhere.
[And Alex was wary of doing this himself, but Derek knew about his shifting and knew he went to the woods, so it would hardly be difficult to track him down anyway. Might as well make the process easier and tell him when he was going.]
[Alex glances at his journal, the amusement leaving his expression for a moment.]
I've understood that hovering threat since it was voiced the first time, Kevas. I've no intention of harming anyone, least of all friends that have asked to come along with me. It's hard enough telling them they're safer here and having them believe it .. most of them end up simply ignoring the waring altogether ..
[Most, meaning all of them. [OOC: And feel free to stalk in the log once it's going! Added Kevas to it. :3]

[Alex doesn't have to be a trained linguist to read into that, but he is amongst those that doesn't hold any anger or resentment over Justice's words. Anders had warned him well enough of Justice's opinion and Alex had grown up in a world where bigotry was rather the norm in one way or another.
Sure, he might have the urge to punch the entity in the jaw, but he didn't feel that way about Anders himself; nor did he feel inclined to carry any amount of butt hurt over it.]
Alright .. Try not to let him bring you down, alright? As to the latter .. yeah. It's the full moon tonight .. Derek offered to keep me company in the woods during my shifting. He's .. similarly afflicted .. save his fuzzy form is a wolf and he retains his own thoughts when he changes.
[But Chloe wasn't as strong with her powers here as she was back home. Even then she would always get into sticky situations. She sighed, rubbing her face. It wasn't smart to try to force her way into this. She'd do more harm than good. She knew that. Her tone portrayed that with her next words.]
I have to do something, Derek. What am I supposed to do while you're both out there? I-it's hard to just sit here when I know you might get hurt. Then Alex will blame himself and...
[Either way, it seemed like a no win situation. At least Derek was doing for Alex what Chloe used to do for him.]
[He doesn't really care what she has to say here. There's no argument that can convince him her being there is a good idea. Maybe he could protect her from Alex, maybe he couldn't, but it doesn't matter. Having her there would only likely force him to have to try, and that wouldn't do any good at all.
Derek's ready to repeat himself, but, fortunately, it seems as though Chloe might not push the issue.]
[Video] - Sealed to Derekallthesame2meOctober 14 2011, 19:59:58 UTC
[Alex exhales lightly and runs through the various locations mentally in quick order.]
We could just meet outside the barracks and go from there .. lessen the chance of losing track of each other before we even get out there?
[Derek might not that the color in Alex's eyes seems a bit more intense than normal and there is a slight sheen to his skin as he shifts his weight absently from foot to foot.]

[He doesn't exactly like that he's calling Derek out.]

[Threat or not, Kevas may just end up stalking Alex anyway just to make sure.]

Well, I suppose the question should be 'are you feeling any better' .. although I know it's hardly as simple a matter as that.
[What with the plague causing Kloe and other random shenanigans upsetting Justice of late.]

I'm coming, too.
[She sounds a little rushed. Grabbing odds and ends. Things she may need. She wants be be there, for both his and Derek's sake.]

[There is no room for doubt in that tone. He means it, Chloe. He will lock you in a room somewhere until morning if he has to.]
