This will be the story timeline once, y'know. Once there is one. Comment with links to each post, I will update.

-April 2nd 2004 - First mention of Brendon in Ryan's LJ. He joins the band
sometime around here.

-April 27 - "when i met pete from fob in november i talked to him and
Patrick a while about song writing and music, being in a band, and when they
came back in febuary, i went up to pete and said hey pete remember me my
names- and right then he goes yea dude ryan i remember you! hows the summer
league? i don't know why i thought of this but that really left an
impression on me that he would remember my name and face and band after
meeting tons of kids in every city and learning a 1000 new names a night. i
am horrible with names."

-May 2 - "friday saw godsend with spencer we are little girls and we got so
scared we were covering our eyes and screaming"

-May 31 - Ryan says he's been living with Spencer's family for a while. His
dad is in rehab at this point.

-July 2 - "we moved into our practice room today! lots of good sex could go
down in there. that place is 24 hours. and i have the keys. hahahaha. but
really it should be cool. i hope. well. maybe."

-July 6 - Ryan goes to Warped Tour! "underoath was so cool, i was in front
and if i had been a girl, i would have grabbed the lead singers butt a few
more times. he was screaming in my face and i was screaming back it ruled."

-July 19th - The Summer League had a show at Brendon's church. Quote from
the entry: "brendon wants everyone to know he quit having sex (but oral sex
is still okay)."

-July 28th - Ryan goes to a FOB show.

-August 6th - First version of Time To Dance lyrics posted.

-August 8th - "i love my 3 friends to death. we're going to move out and see
the country together playing music. i know it." (oh my god sadface poor
Brent!)

-August 14th, 2004 -- Ryan gets his dog, Shotgun, from the clinic where he
works.

-August 27, 2004 - Ryan tells Brendon to get a guitar before practice via
the LJ, first mention of Brendon reading Ryan's LJ. ha.

-August 29, 2004 - Ryan's 18th birthday. He goes to cheesecake factory with
Tarah (girl from the CD) to celebrate.

-Sept 22, 2004 - Ryan talks about his dad drinking again and how he's going
to move to the practice space. Doesn't say for sure that he does, though.

-Oct 24, 2004 - First demos on PureVolume. Ryan Ross posts pictures of his
underage ass on tightpants@lj around this time and requests people go
listen. (Ryan's personal LJ post -- "okay so it's been a long time waiting
but i think everysingleone of you should be listening to my band right now.
k? good. be scene and get to it.")

-Oct 30, 2004 - Time To Dance demo lyrics posted.

-Nov - Nails for Breakfast demo posted.

-Nov 14, 2004 - Ryan post Nail for Breakfast demo lyrics.

-Nov 16th, 2004 - Brendon gets an LJ.

-Nov 28th, 2004 - Ryan writes that Pete is coming out to see them, so Pete
talked to him first between the 22 and 28th (and they talked specifically on
the 28th and Pete decided that day to come out.)

-Dec 20th - Ryan gets back from visiting FOB in LA : "los angeles was good.
life aquatic was good. mansoup was good. my updates suck because i have to
keep my mouth shut."

-Feb 23, 2005 - Ryan mourns the breakup of Blink 182. Aw.

-March 15, 2005 - Ryan officially announces they've signed to FBR/Decaydance

-June 27, 2005 - First day of tracking the drums on the album. (there are
shows in here, I need to pinpoint exactly what the first stuff was dated!)

-September 28th, 2005: "whisper babe. I'm as good as it gets in this town.
whisper babe. I'm a fever you can't sweat out. these are my deepest thoughts
and secrets under a microscope or under a spotlight. forgive me if i'm not
quite ready to give them to you.it 's just such a different feeling. when i
see you smiling and singing back to me, I'm still playing different pictures
in my head that aren't so pleasant. I'm doing my best now to live in the
song and not just the meaning. thank you all for picking up our record
today. it's the biggest thing any of us have ever done and it's a great
feeling to know all the thoughts and second guesses haven't gone unnoticed."
