NO REALLY. LOVE. THIS IS LOVE, LAURA.
You combined two of my favorite things in the world in such a fabulous way.
The place is nothing flash, a small little shop that is somehow reminiscent of a boutique, simply called "Icecream Parlour". The delicious smell of icecream wafts out from it, and the thought of a cool refreshment in the summer heat pleases her.Booth walks beside her, casually dressed in jeans and a T-Shirt, not the usual suit she sees him in.
Your descriptions are A+, and the simplicity is so very Bones.
She hasn't done this for years. She remembers back to when the four of them had gone to the local icecreamery when she was seven, and she had ordered chocolate chip with a wafer, and was so eager to eat it that she got a big dollop of brown on her nose. Her mom had wiped it off with a serviette while Russ and her dad had laughed as her face slowly turned red. She misses that security, that sense of family.
Your use of nostalgia rules. Like, a lot.

LOL. As I was writing the whole smug thing, I totally pictured Brennan standing there with her arms crossed and a evil little smile/pout on her face which might or might not be weird.
I might have written all of this but the last 100 words like, 3 months ago and then forgotten about it, but still, I'm glad I didn't let you down LOL. <3
Now, off to look at Bradley James some more.
