I love the character creation of Cliff, the manners, the looks, I have a clear picture (and I'm trying to find an appropriate actor but failing!). You give House just the right compound of rejection and unstoppable curiosity about this guy who claims to be his father. As tragic as it might be, I like that you put House under pressure with setting a limit to the chance of getting to know his father by giving Cliff a terminal disease. Only the urgency of time that's petering out would push him enough to actually use this chance to get to know more about himself and his REAL background. (Well I hope you let him use it! Then again, of course you will or how would you fill two more chapters ;)
