Wow, powerful stuff! What a blow to both of them. I can imagine House being sent three steps back after taking a giant leap forward in warming to the idea of being a loving father and partner. I can also imagine Cuddy feeling empty and a failure, and perhaps destined to be alone. A sad ending would be fitting for this fic. However, such a shared tragedy could also bring them closer together. Either way, I'm 'hooked'. (See what I did there?)
