The Real Thing: The Finale

The following story contains mild sexual scenarios, some language, and rampant Cameron bashing. Parental guidance is advised. (Heh) This final part borrows a bit of a prompt from Sheis1963 (sorry I couldn’t make it a bigger story, girl) and a few lines of dialogue from Known Unknowns. xo-atdCuddy and Julia were at the spa, getting side-by-side ( Read more... )

It's always great to imagine a sweet #Huddy ending like this especially if the plot is from an earlier season. It makes the scene better for me and ofcourse, since you also wrote this so well that I even felt sorry for Cameron when I rarely do. LOL, another amazing job on this. :)

My gosh, there were so many fun elements to this plot! It was so much fun to start off with the scene at the spa: Cuddy is so busy that one suspects that, from time to time, this is her way to really relax, and of course she would persuade her newly-separated sister to join her. But - always those telling details - the fact that she is getting 'Juicy sangria' rather than 'Evening sand' reminds us that Our Girl is the one with the chutzpah and is the best foil for House ( ... )

I think this is the only time I ever found any sympathatic feelings for Julia, if only she was a bit more like that on the show. I can picture Cuddy's face when Julia reveals her "almost" adventure to her - but let's be right, as if "MY House" wouldn't say it all already. Daft, daft Julia ( ... )

As always, you fill in the blanks in a way that is both plausible and revealing. Of course, Julia is hesitant to date House because she senses there is more than an employee-employer relationship between him and her sister. Similarly, Dr. Murray has known since college days that House and Cuddy were destined to be together. Even the meddling Cameron, if she were honest with herself, would admit that no one can keep House and Cuddy apart. As always, only House and Cuddy can't or won't see that they should be together.

Thank goodness Cameron helps House get to the heart of the matter sending him straight to Cuddy's bedroom! ;)

Love the wit, the lightness and the quick pacing of this fic. It's the real thing.
