This is a very gentle House and Cuddy reunion despite fleeing the scene and House's meltdown with Lydia.

I always felt Lydia was a good match for House--in a world without Cuddy, that is.

And yes, they did hint at Lucas' interest in Cuddy on the show, and I love how Cuddy bites the bullet in going out with Lucas for the sole purpose of finding out what kind of woman House likes. House-like machination if ever there was one. Dammit, woman, can't you see you're the perfect match for him? ;)

For a very slight moment I questioned whether House would tell Nolan 'I’ve been in some form of love with Lisa Cuddy for the last 25 years', but then he has been sober, and being stuck in Mayfield has had nothing better to do than face his own feelings in the cold light of day, so--as always--I too saw the light.

Quite touching.
