It would only be an additional $5 added on to what they're donating for the fic. Sorry for the confusion (and sorry for the late reply... I didn't get a notification for your comment)!

Two Questions. I have two responders to a fic request (future ATS fic C/A with steampunk elements) and it seems like they might be agreeable to possibly both writing the prompt. If this is okay, do I donate $10 each or just a singular $10 since its for one request?
The next question is, can one of the responders (since they want to write a multi-chaptered work) finish by August instead of April?

First question: everyone who's has their prompts claimed by multiple authors/artists has paid their set donation for each of the works they'll be receiving. (Check this thread for additional information.) In this case, you'd donate $10 to each of your authors' charities. If you only want the prompt filled once, we do ask that you donate to the charity of whoever claimed the prompt first in the thread. (Additionally, I saw in your request thread that you'd been PM'ed by an author who wanted to fill your claim. That's fine, but they need to come here and claim the fic so we can keep track of their donation/fill/etc., and add the donation amount to our totals.)
Second question: our soft deadline is April 10. Any deal worked out between prompter and filler would supercede that deadline. You're absolutely free to set up your own timeline with your author.
Thanks so much for your questions and participating in Write for Relief!

Links to works should go to your author and then in the thread where they were claimed, preferably. I'd like to compile a list of everything that was written for the fundraiser just so we can give everyone a chance to find them. If you'd rather comment with the link in the compiled works post, you can do that.

I couldn't figure it out, so thought I would ask (I might just be too tired to figure it out, mind you...if so, I'm sorry!)
If I post a request, does that mean I need to fill at least a prompt as well? (I saw the 'none' limit for fills, but the rest of the sentence was confusing to me)
And is it all right to request only one fic? I'm prepared to be disappointed and not get any - I would donate anyway... but there's really only ONE thing I truly want.

No, requesting a fic doesn't mean you have to fill any prompts. We'd love for you to take a look around and see if anything suits your fancy, but posting a request doesn't mean you have to fill something.
Secondly, you can request any number of fics up to 4, and if you then fill a prompt, once it's paid for and posted, you can request another. So yes, you can request only one.
Let me know if anything else is confusing or unclear. So glad you're here to participate!

Sorry, this is a wholly stupid question, but can I fill prompts without requesting any of my own? I'd love to donate to this but I've already donated almost a month's rent and I can't really afford any more.

You may ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY fill prompts without requesting any. Ground Rules in the main body of the post will be updated to reflect as such, in case anyone shared your confusion.
