I've only gotten to know you recently, and only a little, but in that short time, I've seen you to be a really nice person who goes out of their way for others.

When I first started reading your stories I was so incredibly intimidated by you, because you were such an amazing writer, and I felt a little like a fish out of water joining your readership, but I needn't have worried because you're so, so nice and welcoming.

I've also never been more flattered than to find out you were reading what I wrote. I'm so happy to call you a friend of sorts :)

I thought I had left something here, and was horrified when I went back to look and realized that either I'd hit the wrong key on my laptop (blaming that mistake on the dog, or a kid) or something else stupid.

Anyway, from the time I started reading your work, way back when, I was completely intrigued. You took a legacy and wove it into something addictive, magical. Your writing leaps and bounds; it's raw; it's laced with ribbons and velvet. Your characters are unmistakeable and unique. Your style is totally your own.

And you have done so much for me (have not and will not forget the video on fixing a staircase). Thank you for bringing us into your world and for sharing the beginning of what I KNOW is continue to be a lifetime of writing.

You are one of the people I look most forward to seeing around. It's not only because of your insane ability to light up the "room" just by being there, with your awesomeness and positivity (and your crazy fandom hilarity), but it's also because I feel like we are really alike, and it's nice to know I'm not the only person whose mind is perpetually in the gutter. :P

The most amazing thing about our relationship, I think, is how close we've gotten in such a small amount of time. I feel like I've known you forever (since birth, even ;)) and I'm so happy to have you in my life, in the land of intarwebz and out. Even though we don't always agree (and let's face it... as two similar, stubborn people we're not going to get along always) it's nice to know that we can be honest with each other, even when the world around us can be so false.

I'm so lucky to have a friend like you, especially now when everything I've known seems to be falling apart, and I thank you forever for being here for me.
