I suspect I'm younger than you, though. And they just found the extra wisdom teeth, I think. It was always an eventual thing, so.
How was it getting them taken out? I'm so nervous... I am sensitive to pain (redheads are, for some reason, and I'm strawberry blonde) and my dad lost all feeling in his jaw permanently when he had his taken out.
Being a strawberry blonde myself I never knew that bit about the pain. Although, I am a MAJOR pansy so that makes sense. :) The procedure wasn't that bad. They gave me a choice between having it done in the office and having it done at a dental surgeons and I chose the surgeon on account of him having more pain-knocking-out power. Basically I went in, they put the mask on me, and then some woman said something about my sokcs so I explained that they were Gryffindor socks and by that time I was out. I barely even woke up for the ride home expect Dad kept poking me because I was supposed to be biting down on the gauze they put in my mouth. There were some pieces of the post surgery days I could have lived without but at no time was I ever in horrible pain, which I totally attribute to taking my pills when I was supposed to.
Cripes! ;x If they all come in that could result in some serious bone damage! But man! XD EIGHT! That's gotta be awesome to know. I only had four. But they suspected I had a like.. three extra canines at orthadonists, that never really formed all the way or came down. God knows where they are now.
First off, "colorpencil", your avatar is hilarious. Secondly, many of us are mutants. Has anyone done the "sweet-chewy bread experiment"? Basically you leave a piece of white bread in your teeth and gums for about 20 minutes. I cannot remember exactly which is which, but I think if you cannot taste sweetness, you are a mutant. It has to do with the enzymes and breaking down of bread into simpler molecules.
What happens if the chemical properties of your saliva are different? Zach and Dad have acid reflux because their saliva has an unusually high concentration of something. Would it affect the results?
I've held white bread in my teeth and gums for 20 minutes before and tasted sugar! It just wasn't an intentional holding. More like I really needed to brush my teeth.
Lol. Perhaps they're simply in your mouth somewhere? *crickets chirp* Maybe they've broken down and other bones have absorbed the calcium? Cool, though, three canines! I've only got the four (counting the itty bottom ones), and one of the top ones was sanded down
