Chapter One -Beep. Beep. Beep.-
Jack groaned as he stumbled out of the shower. He picked up two white towels. One clung to his wet body, sitting low on his waist, showing off his prominent hip bones, and the other to dry his hair with. Jack looked down at his phone and noticed Rian texted him.
"What the fuck do you want at 9:15 AM Rian." Jack wondered aloud. He opened the text and read it over.
Hey, watcha doin today? :)
Jack scratched the back of his neck. He was planning on watching the Home Alone movies all day by himself, but he'd rather have company.
Nothin really, wanna chill?
Sure, but if we do I'm setting you up with my friend Alex. P.S. He's cute! (And that's coming from a straight guy!)
I'm rolling my eyes over here. But yeah, why not? What's the plan bro.
761 Thames Street. Come asap :)
Be there soon. Don't make me regret it.
Jack sighed, wondering to himself why he even agreed to that. The guy could be a complete psycho for all he knows. And of course his friend thinks he's cute, he's biased. Jack trotted into his room and put on a pair of boxers that he assumed are clean. He starred into the mirror and took in every inch of his body. Why did he agree to meeting this kid? If he's hot, he definitely wouldn't give Jack a second glance. He's so… Jack. And according to Jack, that's not something to brag about. He doesn't see what could be so special about him.
He got dressed in a maroon v-neck and black skinny jeans and styled my hair into looking like he's just had sex, then grabbed his keys. He made sure to turn out all the lights and grab a piece of gum before leaving a note telling his parents he'll be gone for the day (if they even come home), and walking out the front door and heading for his black Comaro his parents got me for my 16th birthday. Not like they were even home for it.
Jack called Rian while driving down the highway. He picked up on the third ring, "Hello?"
"Hey dude. I'm on my way, can you step away from Alex for a bit? I just want some info on the kid before I make a huge dick out of myself."
"He's not in the room, go for it."
"Okay… well, just tell me what he's like. I mean, I know his name is Alex, but seriously that's it." Jack fell silent and Rian took a deep breath on the other line.
"Well… he's definitely a bottom, and I can say that without experience."
"Preach!" Someone called out.
"Shut the fuck up fruity pebbles, I'm talking to Alex's lover. Sorry about Zack, anyways Alex is really cool. He likes Blink 182 and he sings and plays guitar. Uh, he's kinda feminine but not one of those flamboyantly gay guys. No lisp or anything. He has a nice build, he's around 6 feet tall. Just stop worrying and get your ass over here, he's really chill."
"Fine. I'm almost there." Jack spat and put down his phone. He was really fuckin' nervous.
Jack walked up to apartment 761 and cleared his throat before knocking thee times. The door swung open and Jack gasped a little when I was greeted by an angel. Scratch that, because you can't ravage an angel's body.
Without going to hell at least. But honestly, hell was worth it. Alex looked beautiful.
--------
Alex took in a deep breath and ran a hand through his air before opening the door. Which Alex decided was the best idea of his life. Jack was the most beautiful human Alex had ever laid his eyes on. His maroon shirt clung tightly to his body, his black skinny jeans even tighter. He had raven hair which was styled into a messy look and had brown eyes that contrasted well with his light skin tone. Alex regretted wearing tight pants.
"H-hi." Alex said, smiling crookedly.
"Hi." Jack repeated.
"….. Hi." Alex seemed to have forgotten all other words.
"Let him in you dumbass!" Rian shouted, pushing Alex out of the way and opening the door wider for Jack to step in while Zack sauntered into the room.
Rian smiled small, exhaling a little. "Kay, so this is Zack, and Alex." He says using hand gestures. Zack lifts one hand from his crossed arms to wave and Alex just stands there like a dumbshit, blinking.
"And Jack, this is Alex. Alex, greet your guest." Alex swallowed and mentally slapped himself for making a horrible first impression.
"Hey, nice to meet you." He extended an arm, shivering when Jack gripped his hand and skin touched skin. Zack walked up to Jack when he finally dropped Alex's hand and flung his arms around his neck.
"It's so good to see you again! Oh my God it's been much to long. Like, what, a week?" Jack awkwardly coughed while he pat Zack's back, still thinking about Alex's touch. Rian went to join Zack once he released the raven haired boy, and they exchanged a look.
"Well, we're going shopping so you two enjoy yourselves!" Zack announced winking, grabbing Rian's hand and pulling him out the door, closing it behind the two. There was a muffle from the other side of the door, which sounded like Rian saying something like, "Dude, you worry me sometimes..." But Alex was too distracted to pay attention. Here he had this sexy stranger to himself in an empty house, but he couldn't remember how to move or talk.
"Assholes," Alex mumbled, barley audible.
"So… nice place." Jack observed looking around, avoiding Alex's eyes.
"Yeah… I mean, uh, thanks… uh, wanna go to my room?" Alex asked, giving Jack a hopeful look.
Jack's face lightened up as he finally met Alex's eyes, "Yeah, sure."
Alex lead Jack down a hall and opened the last door on the right. The walls in his room were navy, dressed with band posters of Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, New Found Glory, ect. The carpet was a light beige and was covered in clothing and a few scarves. There was a platform bed with a black and grey comforter sitting in one corner, a messy desk on the other wall, and lastly closet doors on the wall his back was now facing. He jumped a little when he heard the door click shut behind him.
"Have a seat." Alex said with a slight smirk as he sat on his bed. Jack sat across from him crisscrossed, mirroring Alex's position. "Rian said you're new here."
Jack blushed slightly and glanced downwards, focusing on his fingers which became suddenly very interesting.
"I moved from California two weeks ago, but I haven't started school yet."
"That would explain why you have an adorable accent." Alex said without thinking. His eyes widened once he realized what just spilled from his mouth as he stared at Jack, who simply peered up at him from underneath his eyelashes. "Uh, I mean, cool. Yeah, your accents cool." Alex made a mental note to not say 'cool' for the rest of the evening.
Jack bit his lip to stop from giggling before he continued on, feeling slightly more confident. "I'm a Junior at Dulaney High. Well, I start next Wednesday when the school resumes from spring break."
"Guess I'll be seeing a lot of you then." Alex said with a wink. Alex didn't know where the sudden confidence came from, but he was desperate to get Jack more comfortable around him, and maybe comfortable in his bed. Alex sighed inwardly when Jack looked at him confused. "We'll be going to school together." Alex explained furthermore. "And if you'd like, you can totally chill with my group. Speaking you already know a good portion of it."
They talked and admired each other's sex appeal for hours, enjoying each other's company until they were interrupted by Zack and Rian coming home- leaving the two very disappointed that their time together had to end.
"I don't see what the big deal about buying matching shirts is Rain! Seriously, we are so skin tone compatible!" Zack whined like a child.
"Because Zack! Do you really think that I'd want to show up on the first day back at school from break, wearing a matching shirt with my best friend? That's so gay!" Rian averts his eyes back to Jack and Alex who were now standing at the doorway, listening. "Not that there's anything wrong with that… I mean, I totally support you guys being gay together. I mean, not together. Not yet.. just… gay... just nevermind. No, Zack, no."
"Oh my God Rian, you.. ugh! Poor little Jacky and Ally are blushing like mad! They're not dating yet, seriously! Give them time!" Zack turns his body to meet the two boys standing awkwardly, not looking at each other. "I apologize on Rian's behalf. He's being such a dick today, not even letting me buy matching shirts." He turns back to Rian. "I bet once they're dating, they'll buy matching shirts." And with that, he stormed out of the room and into Rian's.
Rian rolled his eyes and follows Zack into his own bedroom. "Stop acting like you live here unless you want to pay!"
Alex shifted from foot to foot until he finally goy the nerve to look at Jack.
"It's getting late, I should probably go." Jack said, dragging out the "o".
"Oh, yeah of course." Alex said. "Uh, can I maybe, get your number?"
"Why? So you can call me to hear my adorable accent?" Alex stood there opening and closing his mouth before Jack added, "Dude, I'm just kidding, give me your phone." Alex let out a sigh of relief and handed Jack his piece of shit phone.
"So, I'll uh, call you… or something." Alex said as Jack handed him back his phone.
"Sure, I'd like that." Jack reassured, giving Alex a sincere smile as he walked out the door.
Alex closed his eyes, and counting down form 30 waiting for Zack to emerge from Rian's room and bombard him with questions. And sure enough, he did.
