Title: Just For The Sake Of Saving Us
Author: AllTime_Panic
Rating: NC-17 overall.
Pairing: Jalex
POV: Third
Disclaimer: I don't own them, and this is entirely made up.
Description: Rian and Zack decide to play matchmaker for Alex.
Author's Notes: This chapter is a lot of dialogue. The next one, which I wrote mere seconds ago, is more of detail. What's going on inside their heads and such. I think chapter 25 will be like that too. Drama comes into 26&27. Sorry it took me so long to update, I had burnt the tips of all my fingers a few days ago so I couldn't write. Now I'm left with many painful blisters, but if I angle my fingers slightly I can type fairly well. Don't feel bad for me... I picked up hot glue, but it was hot so I put it on my other hand. It was well deserved. (It was 8am, alright?)
Master Post ><
Jack walked into the restaurant, taking in the atmosphere. It was nice, to say the least. It was dimly lit. Booths with blood red seats were scattered around and a bar was sat off to one side. It wasn't particularly crowded, but it wasn't empty either.
Jack walked up to the server and did exactly what the text said. "Um, I'm here to meet Kyle Burns."
The waitress smiled at him, leading him to a table where, just as expected, Kyle was sitting, occupied by his phone.
Jack sat down on the other side of the booth, smiling at Kyle as the other boy looked up.
"You're here!" Kyle exclaimed, reaching over the table to grab Jack's face and kiss his cheek. "You look hot too! Look at you!"
Jack took a glance at himself to remember he was wearing a white v-neck, black jeans and a leather jacket. "I wanted to look hot for my date." Jack winked playfully, reassuring Kyle that he knew this wasn't an actual date.
"Don't freak out, but casually look over to your right in about thirty seconds so nothing's obvious." Kyle whispered into his ear before giggling and returning to his seat.
Jack mentally counted to ten before caving in and casually taking a glance around the room, before looking back at his lap and doing a double take.
Two seats away was sat none other than Alex Gaskarth, with the same tramp who'd been attempting to seduce Jack all week.
"He's such a fucking whore! Moving on already?" Jack whisper-yelled across the table.
"I told you he wasn't a whore!" Kyle shot back, matching Jack's tone. "And he probably thinks you've moved on too."
"At least with a guy! He's with a girl. I mean, he got his uvula removed so he could suck more dick. Not go after pussy, what a waste."
Kyle laughed loudly, slapping the table top a few times before taking a few deep breaths and looking back at Jack. "Oh, you were serious?"
Jack looked at him like he had three heads before he nodded awkwardly.
"Oh, honey. No, did Ryan tell you that? Oh, it's so typical of him! Alex got his uvula removed because he had sleep apnea!"
Jack looked at the peroxide blonde, dropping his jaw slightly. "So, you're telling me that Alex really isn't a whore."
"I thought we went over this in class?" Kyle asked, tilting his head a little and letting his bangs fall into his face.
The new angle Kyle was at made the light hit Jack's face differently. "Hey Jack, what's that right-" Kyle slid his thumb across Jack's cheekbone, "there."
Jack flinched at the touch, curling in on himself and leaning backwards. "N-nothing."
"Jack, c'mon." Kyle changed his pitch to sound like an obnoxious pre-teen, "best friends don't keep secrets."
Jack giggled at that, peering up at Kyle from under his eyelashes, seeing Alex look over at them from the corner of his eye.
"Well, uh, I was talking to Ryan after school." Jack explained in a low voice before biting his lip.
"Uh-huh." Kyle urged on.
"And I told him that we couldn't be friends."
"Yeah."
"Anthegtmdapeatshte" Jack spoke quickly, making it sound like gibberish.
"What?" Kyle asked, shaking his head a little.
"And then he got mad and Pete beat the shit out of me."
"Oh Jack!" Kyle exclaimed, jumping out of his seat and running towards to other side of the booth, throwing his arms around Jack's body. Kyle peered up to see Alex glaring at the two, so the blonde took his chance to shower Jack's face and hair with kisses.
"Alex is looking so along with it." Kyle whispered, earning a giggle from Jack who leaned into Kyle's hug. "But FYI, this is definitely a pity hug."
The two looked up to see the waitress place two waters in front of them. "The usual?" The waitress asked, eyeing Kyle.
The blonde nodded, turning his attention back to Jack.
"You have a usual?"
"I used to come here a lot with Alex. I'm guessing that's why he's here now." Kyle responded, nodding his head over to the brunette who paid little attention to his date and rather glared at his ex-boyfriends.
"Whatever he tells Zack about tonight, deny, okay? For the sake of making Alex jealous, we're going to make him think we're on a date. I really fuckin' like Zack but right now I need to be a good friend."
"Thank you so much." Jack said with a huge grin spreading across his face.
"Okay, I'm going to kiss you, and I'm going to make sure Alex sees it, okay? And if I get carried away just pull back."
Before Jack could respond, Kyle kissed him, softly at first. He opened his eyes to look at Alex, who was fuming, staring at them with clenched fists. Kyle closed his eyes and kissed Jack again with more pressure.
Kyle ripped apart from the kiss when he felt a hand pull on his shoulder. Kyle jumped up to see Alex, pissed the fuck off, standing over him. "I think we need to talk."
Kyle turned back to Jack. "I'll be right back baby." He began to lean in for a kiss when Alex pulled his shoulder back.
"Nope." Alex said. Because no one's kissing Jack while he's standing right fucking there. Or when he's not there. Just- just no.
Jack watched in confusion as Alex dragged Kyle to the bathrooms.
><
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Alex hissed as he locked the door to the bathroom stall and turned to face Kyle.
"I'm on a date." Kyle replied with a smirk.
"Yeah, well how about not dating my Jack?"
"Oh, Alex, I could have sworn just at school you told me you had nothing to do with him!" Kyle gave the brunette an innocent smile. "Look, would you rather him be with Ross on a date right now? I mean, I know I'm not the most well hung but I'm not such a bad guy!"
"I don't give a fuck who Jack's with, if it's not me I have a problem."
"Alex, quit treating him like he's your property! How come you can go on a date and Jack can't?"
"Because! Jack's supposed to want me back. He isn't supposed to want someone else." Alex whispered the last line, looking down at the floor defeated.
He was fortunate Kyle knew him inside and out. The blonde wrapped his arms around Alex's thin frame, swaying back and fourth just slightly.
"You have to make him want you." Kyle mumbled into Alex's ear.

Meanwhile, Jack was sitting alone at the table waiting for Kyle to come back. Was this the reason Alex has rushed him out of his house so quickly the night before? Had he moved on to the slut awkwardly sitting no more than ten feet away from Jack?
It couldn't have been. Alex is gay. Not bisexual, full on gay. Did he want to make Jack jealous? It's not like he had to, he had just come crawling back to the older boy the night before.
"Well who are you?" A feminine voice called, probably no more than a few inches from Jack's ear.
He turned to see Alex's date sitting close to him, too close, with her legs crossed and a strand of hair being twirled by her fingers.
"The guy who'd rejected you every day this week so far, who you keep coming on to?"
"Alex is no fun. I wanted to get him in bed tonight, but he won't put out. He just keeps sighing and getting lost in thought. But you seem like you'd be a little more... interesting." The girl giggled obnoxiously, running her finger down Jack's chest, eventually bringing her hand down to rest very up high on his thigh.
"Look, I can't punch a girl, but if you don't leave me alone-"
"Go ahead, punch her. I couldn't care less." Alex's voice seemed to come from no where, but when Jack snapped his head up there he was, angry and accompanied by a certain peroxide blonde.
"A-alex, I didn't, I don't," Jack rambled, shaking his head.
"I know. She came on to you. I saw the whole thing." Alex replied calmly, seemingly not provoked by his date's actions. "Frankly, I only took her out because her mom's y teacher and said it was the only way I could get out of my assignment."
"Alex! I thought we had something special!" The brunette pouted, crossing her arms.
"Apparently not, if you're throwing yourself at me the second Alex walks away." Jack retorted, rolling his yes slightly. "As if I'm that desperate, Molly makeout."
The girl gasped, grabbing the nearest glass of water and dumping it on Jack's crotch before storming off to Alex's side.
Jack jumped up, mouth wide open as he froze in shock.
"What the fuck, Molly, why did you do that!" Alex snapped, turning to his date who looked innocent as a puppy.
"He's being mean to me Alikinz, make him stop!"
"No, you know what, fuck you!" Alex was about to speak again when Kyle tapped his shoulder.
"I'll take her home, you can stay here with Jack, alright?" Kyle whispered.
"Are you sure? She's a pain in the ass." Alex whispered back.
Kyle just smiled, putting his arm on Molly's shoulders and guiding her out the building.
Alex walked over to Jack, who was still standing in shock. His crotch becoming closer and closer to hypothermia as the seconds passed.
"H-here." Alex said unsurely as he got on his knees in front of Jack, placing a napkin on the younger boy's crotch and dabbing slightly. "Sorry about her. You know what? I'll pick up your guys tab too, since I caused all this."
Jack mentally shook his head, causing his fantasies of the current situation of Alex on his knees to vanish, and snapped back into reality. "No, no, it's fine, really. I mean, the food hasn't even come out yet. I'll just pay before it gets here."
"Are you sure? I feel awful, I bet you can't even feel your crotch." Alex laughed to himself, laughing even harder when he saw Jack blush.
And Alex was entirely wrong. Jack could feel his dick, and Alex fucking rubbing it with that napkin wasn't doing that any justice.
Alex stood up, throwing the napkin on the table as Jack took out a $10 and threw it on the table to cover their drinks.
"Don't you need to pay?"
"Molly couldn't find anything for 100 calories on the menu, so both of us basically came here for water." Alex explained with a sigh. "Anyways, let's get you home."
"I-I don't know if that's a good idea." Jack nervously bit his lip.
Alex made the connection back to the phone call, and how his mother treated Jack. "Alright, then it looks like I'm taking you back to mine." Alex grabbed his coat and walked with Jack to his car.
