It's Monday morning and Alex's body is still throbbing all over from the weekend, and not just from the concert.
He practically drags himself out of bed and sighs to himself as he gets ready for school.
There's a note stuck onto his desk that he only notices until he's about to leave. It's from Jack.
I love you. :)
Alex feels hundreds of butterflies erupt inside his stomach and he feels like a fucking teenage girl, but he doesn't care because Jack loves him.

Alex arrives twenty minutes late to school, due to traffic and also because he ran into his father as he was leaving the house this morning.
It didn't end well.
"Alex you're late," Says one of the middle-aged receptionists. She always took a liking to Alex though, so she doesn't tell him off. "Since you've already missed some of your lesson, I want you to show around our new student. I'll tell your teacher you're busy."
It's only then that Alex notices there's a boy standing on the other side of the small reception room.
He's almost intimidatingly tall but has a friendly looking face, extremely skinny and has brown hair. And Alex couldn't even resist the thought of thinking that this boy was very attractive.
The boy smiles and reaches a hand out confidently to Alex. "Hi, I'm John O'Callaghan."
Alex shakes his hand and smiles back. "Alex Gaskarth."
The receptionist handed John his timetable and the two boys began walking down the empty corridor.
Alex figured that he could escape class for two hours or so by showing John around.
"So where'd you move from?" Alex asked, not wanting the time to pass awkwardly.
"Arizona," John grinned at the thought of his hometown, "My dad moved here for work. I didn't see the point in joining a school seeing as we only have a few months till graduation, but whatever."
Alex nodded, "Why, what's back home for you?"
"I was in a band back home. I was the lead singer. The second I graduate, I'm going back home and my band and I are touring."
Alex's eyes widened, but more in admiration than shock. "Wow, I would love to do that. I've always wanted to be in a band." John grinned at him.
"Hey man, you should totally come with us once we're a world-touring band." He winked at Alex.
Alex blushed bright red. John seemed to notice.
"A-Alex, can I ask you something?"
Alex nodded, "Of course," he didn't expect someone as forward as John to be shy all of a sudden.
"I'm gay." John blurted out, "So I get it if you don't want to hang out with me or-"
Alex laughed, "Dude, don't worry, I am too."
"Really? Is this school, uh, homophobic?" John asked with a raised eyebrow."
"Hate to break it to you but yep. You might not wanna let it out that you're gay though, I did and now I'm the school punching bag. You might not even hang out with me."
John sighed but a smile was on his face. "No way man, I'm not leaving you - you're stuck with me now."
Alex laughed again before gesturing to the other boys New Found Glory shirt, "Awesome shirt by the way, I love that band."
