Make Me Believe (4)

“Yes! Let’s write a song about that.”

“Sure.”

“ ‘I wanna feel weightless, and that should be enough.’ That’s it!”

“Um, Alex. That’s only one line.”

“I know, silly, but it’s brilliant!”

“Okay, now we just need the rest of the song.”

“Manage me, I’m a mess.” Jack mumbled.

“Turn a page, I’m a book half-unread.” Alex continued. He knew it was crazy that they were completing each other’s thoughts, but it felt right.

“But what does that have anything to do with being weightless?”

“Uh, we can add…” Jack watched as Alex thought for a few minutes. “I wanna be laughed at, laughed with. Just because. I wanna feel weightless, and that should be enough.”

“Amazing! Alex, you have talent.” Jack said.

“No. We have talent,” Alex whispered.

Jack noticed that Alex’s face was an inch away from his. He placed his hand on Alex’s thigh and leaned in. Just as Alex was about to close the space between them, someone from downstairs yelled, “Honey, we’re home!”

Jack jumped away and Alex smirked slightly, a disappointed look crossing his face. Jack knew the same look was also plastered onto his.

---

“Mom, dad, this is Jack.” Alex shifted uncomfortably.

“Why, hello honey!” The woman gushed, pinching Jack’s cheeks. “Aren’t you just adorable?”

“Thank you. Hello Mr. and Mrs. Gaskarth.” Jack said, blushing.

“Alex, you have a new friend?”

“Jeez mom, you say it like I don’t have any friends.” Alex grumbled.

“Well, this is the first time, you’ve brought one home.”

“And if you keep embarrassing me, this will be the last.”

“Oh honey, stop being so bitter.” Mrs. Gaskarth shushed him.

Alex just wanted his parents to leave him the fuck alone with Jack. They had almost kissed, but Alex didn’t want it to be “almost.” Alex had never before in his life wanted to kiss someone as bad as he wanted to kiss Jack and now his parents had ruined it. Plus Jack was horny which turned Alex on. Everything Jack did threatened to turn Alex on. The way his hips moved when he walked, his lips, his perfect ass, the way his eyes shined when he got excited.

“Jack, why don’t you stay for dinner?” Mrs. Gaskarth asked.

“Su-“ Jack began, but Alex interrupted, “Actually Jack was just leaving.” Jack looked disappointed. “I’m going to take him home.”

“I only live like ten blocks away. I can walk.”

“I’ll walk with you. Mom, I’ll be back soon, kay?”

“Sure. Be careful. And Jack darling? Please come for dinner soon, we’d love to have you.”

“Thank you very much, It was nice meeting you.” Jack smiled and Alex put his hand on the small of his back, leading him outside.

“Sorry about them.” Alex mumbled as he followed Jack in the direction of his house.

“Don’t worry about it, my parents would react the same way.”

“Yeah, I guess all parents react the same way. As long as they didn’t scare you away from me.”

Jack smirked, “Afraid of losing me?”

“Of course! I need you Jacky.”

“I’ll never leave you.”

“You sure? That’s a big promise.”

“Yeah, but it’s one I’m willing to keep.”

They stopped in front of a nice two story house with a gorgeous porch.

“This is it.” Jack said.

“Alright, I guess I’ll be on my way.”

“Here, gimme your phone, I’ll give you my number.” They exchanged phones, each typing in their number. Alex took his phone back, saving Jack’s number as a contact: Jacky.

“Call me or text me or somethin’.” Jack said smiling.

“Sure thing baby.”

“Bye Lex.” Jack leaned in and brushed his lips against Alex’s cheek, pulling away after a few seconds.

“Bye Jacky.” Alex watched as Jack went up the pathway to his house, and only after Jack was inside did Alex turn to go home.
