They had one song left to play for the MTV unplugged show and that was ‘Dear Maria, Count Me In’. The studio’s air conditioning had decided to break half way through the set and it was getting hotter by the minute.
“I’m starting to sweat, be careful. I sweat lava,” Alex joked before walking over to Rian and pecking him on the lips. Jack saw and his face instantly dropped and he diverted his eyes back to his guitar and carried on plucking the chords.
Jack couldn’t deny that he was jealous of what Alex had just done to Rian. Alex was his boyfriend. Fair enough, they couldn’t tell their fans yet. They knew a large majority wouldn’t care, Rian and Zack knew, so did the crew but as a group they decided to keep it to themselves would probably be the safest thing to do at this point in their career.
They played the song and hung out with the fans for a while after but every time Alex made eye contact with Jack, he would look away leaving Alex confused. Usually they would share a smile that told each of them how they felt, but today was different and Alex didn’t know what he had done wrong.
After about half an hour of talking and having pictures talking with the fans, the boys in All Time Low headed back to their bus so they could begin the journey to the show later on that evening.

After an hour of driving, Alex rose from his slumber to find that Zack and Rian had gone to the shops to buy some more food supplies. They never realised how much they ate until everything had gone. He soon realised that everyone else had gone and could see Jack sat in the lounge and he knew it was just the two of them for the time being.
Alex climbed out of his bunk and walked into the lounge sitting next to Jack who was staring at the TV but not actually watching it.
“Hey,” Alex smiled and placed his hand on Jack’s leg. Jack smiled back, keeping his eyes on the screen and his mouth shut. Alex’s eyes narrowed and he stared at the younger boy for a few minutes before asking, “Babe, what’s wrong?”
Jack tore his eyes away from the television and placed his hand on top of Alex’s, squeezing gently before replying, “Nothing. I’m fine.”
Alex wasn’t convinced by the answer he was given and Jack knew it.
“Really? You’ve been quite ever since we left the unplugged session...” That’s when Alex realised what was wrong. He kissed Rian. It was only a peck though. Surely Jack knew it didn’t mean anything?
“Jack, this isn’t because I kissed Rian is it?” Jack’s eyes widened and Alex could sense his body tensing up.
“What? No!” Jack laughed standing up and walking towards the bunks.
“Jack, wait,” Alex said, jumping up and grabbing Jack’s shoulder. “Give me your hand,” He said, holding his own out.
“What?” Jack asked with a confused expression on his face.
“Your hand. Give it to me.”He complied and held his hand out for the older boy to take. Alex placed it on his chest, just over his heart.
“Do you feel that?” Jack nodded. Alex’s heart was beating fast and Jack could feel it pounding against his hand.
“Yeah, I feel it.”
“You do this to me. Every time you kiss me. Every time you touch me. Every time you talk to me. Fuck, Jack, just you looking at me sets my heart racing. You Jack. Nobody else. That kiss in the studio? That meant nothing! That never set my heart racing like you do.”
Jack couldn’t help but smile at the words that came out of his boyfriend’s mouth.
“I love you, Jack. More than I’ve ever loved anyone.”
“I love you too, Lex,” Jack said as Alex giggled.
“I love it when you call me that,” Alex smiled leaning forward and placing his lips on Jack’. He kissed him back quickly before pulling away and resting his forehead on Alex’s.
“What, Lex?”
“Mmm,” was the only answer he got from Alex before his lips were once again pressed to Jack’s, parting them with his tongue. Jack smiled as Alex began to walk forward towards the bunk’s pushing Jack along with him.
“Gonna make the most of the time alone we have,” Alex smirked climbing into his bunk pulling on the front of Jack’s shirt as he climbed into the bunk and landing on top of him.

About half an hour later, Zack and Rian came in through the bus door to hear giggling coming from the bunks just down the aisle.
“Jeez, do we have to stay here and listen to this?” Rian laughed as the giggling turned into low moans.
“No! We know how they get once they’re started,” Zack laughed, turning round to exit the bus.
“Yeah, at least they’re happy though,” Rian said, “They’re good for each other.”
“Absolutely,” Zack agreed, “Let’s just hope it lasts.”
