humbled.

For what it's worth, I did a word study for the words: humble, humilty, humbled. It was a while ago. But what I found to be really interesting is that an original meaning of the word was "to despress, literally or figuratively." It gave me new insight on the phenomenon of depression. I find it odd that we try so hard to escape and avoid depression (there can be bad self-indulgent forms of it), but it is also something that God lets us go through for His purposes, and draws us closer to him.

Hi Introspective Matt, I kinda know how you feel. I think it's just this season of life...In Ecclesiastes it says there's a time to embrace and a time to refrain...I guess that's just what happens with friends and people we share common bonds with, but it's okay! I'm excited for you to move to the City...we'll definatly hang out. What are you doing tonight? It's my birthday and we're going to Gepettos down in Holla-day to have some good italian food...give me a call if you wanna come down.
