I wish I could tell you what to do, but I'm such a chicken when it comes to change about things like this. But that being said, this could be the kind of opportunity to make you very happy. It's something you really need to think about. I don't understand all that's involved because I really don't know anything about horses and liveries, so I can only give encouragement instead of real advice.
You would have to quit your present job to do this? How much would you have to work at the livery yard. It's very hard physical work--would your body cope? Is it your dream come true? Can Rich provide back up if it's not as lucrative as planned? Would you get to spend more time with George or would that time be sucked by taking care of everyone else's horse?
Thanks. Mostly the horses would be DIYs so the hard work would be minimal. Yes, Rich would supoort me if it went pear-shaped but at a massive cost to our standard of living. I can't get rid of the worry of resigning from my job. I know if I were setting up a business I actually OWNED then that worry would be much aleviated. The problem would be if Jo chose to end the lease early I would be financially compensated but nothing like my next 20 years earnings in my current job
