That was my reaction. Poor lad. He is such a character and we are all hoping that he will be back with us soon.
I know what you mean - I HAD to go see George yesterday even though I hadn't planned on it. I just needed to be with him.
It's my worst nightmare and my heart goes out to her.

How heart-rending! I hope he makes it. I'll think healing thoughts.

A Welsh Section B pony (like Boo's miniature twin) went down with colic at my old stable. She was rushed to Liverpool for the op. The little girl was heart broken. The pony was given a 50-50 chance. But she pulled through. The little girl decorated her stall with a tinsel and glitter banner saying, WELCOME HOME, TWINKLE. Then the little girl handwalked her every day and double-netted her haylage. Extreme pwny lurve in action!

That's the sort of story I want to hear. We are all so worried for Fran. To lose her Mum at such a young age was bad enough but to lose Caffrey on top of that would break her heart.
I know she will nurse him to within an inch of his life. She loves him soooo much. Poor kid. At the moment Jo is trying to play it down a bit but Fran keeps asking everyone if they think he'll be alright. I mean what do you say? False hope isn't good but neither are the cold, hard facts. She's just in bits and we all 'mother' her a bit cos of what happened to her mum. It's just hard :-(

It's really hard to know what to tell the little girl. I wouldn't know the answer to that one. :( Hugs.

Oh no, this is so sad! We had a colic scare with one of Chon's horses a few months ago, and Chon was so worried. Ended up it wasn't colic, so all's well, but it's such a dangerous condition. My heart goes out to that sweet girl and her boy.

Thank you Sheri.
It's such a horrible time fir everyone. Life is so unfair - to deprive a little girl of her Mother is bad enough but this is just a kick in the teeth she didn't need. She worships that horse. He's beautiful - a connemara with the thickest, most well groomed tail I have ever seen. We are all rooting for him :-(

Thank you, we are all hoping too. The news as of yesterday is that he is no worse but no better either. It could go either way and he is still in intensive care.
Fran is going there today with her Grandma. It's so she can 'say goodbye' in case the worst happens. This just breaks my heart and she is being so brave. :-(
