Criminal Minds' Cuts Female Cast

WTF?? Are they insane???

Heading to Season 6, CBS’ successful crime drama Criminal Minds is trimming the female portion of its cast for what I hear are financial reasons. I'm told the option of series regular A.J. Cook has not been picked up and co-star Paget Brewster is being made an offer to stay for only a reduced number of episodes next

I don't watch CM, but when I read this news this morning I was enraged on behalf of fans and women everywhere. It's completely disgusting.

I signed the petition and did the twitter thing and I hope all of this outrage from the fandom helps...BUT...if the network goes through with this idiotic plan, that'll be the end of it for me.

I like the ensemble as a whole but without the female characters, I just don't care enough to keep watching. JJ brings an energy to the show none of the other characters can (much like Garcia) and Emily adds a much-needed female perspective to the male-dominated team. As much as I love Garcia and KV, her limited-yet-awesome screen-time isn't enough to keep me invested without the other women.
