I have found the most offensive word in my world that I can't believe people use in anyway. "Fag". I ate at the restaurant downstairs and the table next to me was rude (Americans...not French...ironic isn't it?). The waiter was a gay man. The obviously quite "straight and I need to prove it" man at the table made a comment after the waiter left

My last roommate was a gay male who was very open with his sexuality. It made me sick to hear people talk about him in such a vulgar way. My students used the word in class one day and I made them write a 2 page paper on respect and tolerance. I can't believe how small-minded people can be. On a different note, it sounds like you are doing better. I'm so happy for you.
