H/W Kid Fic Speculation

Dec 15, 2007 16:44

So I'm thinking about working on fics again. Mostly because I have a lot of time on my hands but also because I've been going to my H/W sites and it's getting harder to find good ones. There are some really awesome ones but I'm seeing a lot of crossovers and I'm not into those. Well, I was thinking about writing a kid fic for H/W. Is that wrong? ( Read more... )

Oh, I'd love to see more new fics from you! I'd also love to offer myself as a co-author, but I'm not letting myself do anything fannish until I finish a series that I started years ago and haven't payed proper attention to.

That said, I'd love to help you out in other ways. If you ever need someone to throw ideas around with, I'd be more than willing.

Oh that would be AWESOME!! I'd love to have someone to talk it out with. Do you have MSN or Yahoo Messenger? I don't have AIM though. You can also e-mail me. I've got ideas planned out but nothing concrete. I've got a name and a little history and an idea for where I want to go, I just need to work on it.

I understand not having the time to co-author. I have fics from another fandom I should work on because it's been about 2 years since I last worked on them but I'm not going to go back. I'm terrible like that. >.<

I don't have either of those messengers. We'll just have to talk it out over e-mail. I'll send you one right after this.

Hee! You're not terrible. If I hadn't made so many promises, I would have abandoned this fic ages ago. But, as it was, I did promise, so now I'm essentially blackmailing myself into finishing this. I can't wait until I'm done, though, because I have so many other things I want to do. Including, some day, co-authoring a fic.

I am always up for a bit of fic-talk :)

Some people run for the hills at the mention of kid!fics. And there are very few that I choose to read, mostly because the kid seems do damn perfect and it seems a way for the author to 'play house' (heehee).

Dunno what your online schedule is, but I added you to MSN (I only log in at night, but you can send me an e-mail to see if I am online and I can log in)

Awesome. I'll tell you my ideas. I need someone to toss things around with. I hate perfect kid fics but I've seen two authors do it right. I hope I can be half as good as them!
