One good turns deserves another - Part 3
Sophie answered the door the following day “Hey babe” Tina said kissing her cheek, Sophie looked past her, “No Sian today, she’s unwell anyway we are nearly done on one room” Sophie feigned a smile, Sian had been ‘unwell’ for a week now since the near kiss. Sophie tried to sound interested in the project for the next room that Tina was outlining to her, but all she could think of were Sian’s lips and how she ached to kiss her.
“Sophie are you listening?” Tina asked exasperated, “Yeah”. Tina looked at her, “Look Sian’s brother is getting married tomorrow, leave me your keys and if ya want go to the church, I know that you can’t stop thinking about her”. Sophie was shocked “Am I that easy to read?” she asked “Yeah” Tina nodded, “If all goes wrong then go clubbing with me I’ll hook you up with someone” Sophie laughed Tina was great, but she wasn’t Sian.
The following day Sophie got dressed in to her best suit and took her camera, she arrived at the church just before the family did, “Hi I’m Sophie the photographer” she said to a nervous man who looked like the groom, “Oh wow, hi great glad my sis could get ya, I’ve seen your portfolio online, oh where are my manners I’m Dan the groom”. Sophie shook his hand , “Is Sian better?” Sophie asked installing more film in to her camera “Better, didn’t know she was ill, she seemed okay last night at my fiancées hen party. Sophie felt unbelievable sadness, this woman had lied to her.
She’s obviously not interested he brain told her, just enjoy the day, take photos and go clubbing with Tina later. Sophie walked towards the church, when she saw the bride, she began to photograph, then she saw a bridesmaid in a purple knee length dress and hair in ringlets it was Sian. She seemed shocked when she saw Sophie, however followed behind the bridal party. This day will be harder than I thought Sophie said to herself entering the church and continuing her photography.
After the cake cutting and speeches the party really began. Sophie continued to take photos, every so often she would catch Sian’s eyes, but she looked away, fed up of trying Sophie gladly accepted when she was asked to dance by a smart man, “Greg” he said putting his arm around her waist “Sophie” Sophie answered over the music, they danced for a moment, “Oh god there’s my ex” Greg whispered in her ear, “Could ya help me get her back ya know make her jealous or something”.
Sophie was intrigued “Which is your ex she asked scanning the faces of the women there “The blonde Sian, I kinda cheated on her, but I really love her, could you help me win her back” he asked hopefully, torn between her own desire and his love she agreed to talk to Sian.
