the last week has been rather stressful. this past Wednesday was Bex's immigration interview at the US consulate in New Zealand. based on what information we could gather, including what our friends Steve and Jade had told us, we expected this to mostly be a formality. and then within a couple of days Bex would have her visa packet ( Read more... )

i have no idea what their intention is, but if they think i'm going to give up, well, they don't know me very well. i'm a tenacious bastard. and even moreso where when it's something so important as Bex

it took almost 24 hours, but FedEx finally sorted out their tracking page with the correct date. i've been obsessively refreshing that page for the last 48 hours.
Portland-Oakland-Los Angeles-Honolulu-Auckland
yay! as of this morning it's finally in Auckland. sometime later today, it will be delivered to Bex.
first thing tomorrow morning Bex will take that document to the consulate, and wait until her visa packet has been assembled. assuming that all goes well, she will be getting on a plane tomorrow evening and be arriving here Friday afternoon.
