THIS WAS EXACTLY A WEEK BEFORE APPS OPENED THAT MONTH. I spent a few days wondering if there were any possible way I could app THAT ROUND, but I didn't have enough activity to get permission anyway, not to mention . . . not having any of the manga on my machine anymore. :( So I resigned myself to my fate and whined about it a little in my chans:

AND THEN I STARTED BAWLING THE END
Actually, we talked about it and I kind of backed off and hemmed and hawed and she ENCOURAGED ME TO APP AGAINST HER, and I decided "Well okay, it wouldn't hurt to WRITE the app, but if I end up with a shitty app, I just won't send it and Konatsu can have him. S-sob."
I went and bought the flash drive and mailed it to Roy and she mailed it back to me and due to various instances of fail, such as me taking forever to go buy the damn thing, I didn't actually get the manga in the mail until like one week before apps opened on May 15th. I started reviewing it, all the while CRYING ON PEOPLE BAWWWWW WHAT IF IT'S A DUP AND I LOSE ;; K-konatsu included, and she has like the patience of a saint. We were both still planning on apping but Konatsu was really short on time due to Real Life and hadn't had time to review yet and I started feeling guilty about that too "A-AM I TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HER BUSY-NESS BY REVIEWING AND WORKING ON MY APP SHOULD I WAIT UNTIL NEXT ROUND TO GIVE HER TIME TO APP AGAINST ME ;;"
Then she kicked me and told me to go ahead and app because she'd decided not to anyway. And I wrote the app and worried that it would end up a dup ANYWAY and I still felt guilty and basically the moral of the story is that Konatsu is a saint and BLESS YOU, KONATSU, I AM STILL SURE YOU WOULD HAVE WON HAD IT BEEN THE TWO OF US. :|d Now app someone else from FMA. :D
The hilarious thing is that I almost apped Konatsu instead of Hyuuga way back in November. I THINK WE LIKE THE SAME CHARACTER TYPES.
