headcanon;
1. Reika walks everywhere she goes. She also likes riding in little boats like rowboats. She is absolutely terrified of cars.
2.The reason she is terrified of cars is because her parents always lectured her while riding in them-"lecture" means "utterly tearing down what little self-esteem she possesses"
3. She dreams of fairytales, of a world where someone actually loves her. She also dreams of dying, and those dreams are her favorite.
4. She doesn't own a single pair of pants. Or shorts. When out of uniform, she wears long floaty princess-y dresses.
5. She is fascinated by water, especially moving water.
6. Reika doesn't wear short skirts outside of her school uniform skirt. The shortest skirt she owns on a dress that is not her uniform is ankle-length.
7. At home, the only food prepared is traditional Japanese food. Her parents, when they go out, only go to Japanese restaurants. Reika is woefully underexposed to food that is not traditional and Japanese.
8. She hasn't turned the lights on in her room in nearly two years.
9. She has never ordered her own food in a restaurant before. And now she has, thanks to Isao.
10. She doesn't eat anywhere near enough. She eats breakfast but she doesn't eat lunch and she stands a fair chance of missing dinner.
11. She's filled up two of her notebooks so far, and has three left unfilled.
12. Reika can't swim. At all.
13. She has never written a story with a happy ending.
14. Her older sister encourages her in her fairy-tale delusions, because life is ugly and she needs something pretty to hold onto.
15. She has amazingly beautiful handwriting. She doesn't type anything if she can help it.
16. She can read fluently in several languages other than Japanese. (Italian, Mandarin Chinese, English, and Spanish) and her listening comprehension is good as well. Her spoken fluency needs a lot of work, mostly because she's too nervous to talk much in her own native language, much less a foreign one.
