Nintendo's hope of gaining back it's market share is placed on the shoulders of them being able to come up with fun, different, and creative games, and unique ways of playing the games. Some of the shots I've seen of LoZ, and this make me think they're well on the way.

Well Nintendo probably has killed any hardcore sales with the renaming of the Revo. Revo sounded cool, hip, and honestly it was a Revolution for the Nintento brand. Wi? Wi Te Eff man? Sounds like somthign for the Wiiii ones (aka kiddies) I honestly hope Wi is a joke. The platfomr looks like It'll have a lot of titles wrapped up in a good bundle. If for nothign less Nostalgia games will clammer over this unit if, IF, I-F, they make a old unergronimic controller simmilar to the NES pad and SNES pad of Olde (as well as all the other perifs gotta have the light gun and Super Scope, and the power mat, oh and THE GLOVE! ). I'll sure as hell buy one if they do that ( ... )

About the game pad: They have. I think 4CR has stuff on it, but it looks like an SNES/Genesis hybrid.

I think they're going to see how developers are going to go; most are avoiding the PS3 like the plauge, because it's expensive to develope for them, and the Wii, according to EA, is a pleasure to develope for.

I dunno, I've not been impressed much by the PS2. There are a few games, but this generation of consoles made me a PC gamer, to tell you the truth.

And, part of the problem with the PS3 coding package is it is apparently expensive as hell; a lot of people have said they just can't afford it.

I dunno. PS3 won't ruin the company, but I don't think I'll ever get one.

I had a PS2 for a number of titles. Rachet and Clank being one of them. GT another. And Champoins of Norath to be another. Might eventually get Bards Tale too. Einhander and R type Final as well are great games. Sure PS2 was a pain, but people that coudl afford teh debelopment software are big companies, so no budget titles shitting up the bargin bin. ;)

And I'm a PC gamer as well. it's just that the price tp play yearly's gone through the roof. It's stupid. I'm sure you can see my point with this latest bach of vid cars and games taht demand the best of the best to be plaid smoothly.

See, I think that's the difference between gamers. While Those games might have suited you, I wanted different things, and no system really delivered. There were a few good ones, and maybe enough to justify a PS2 - but 600 dollars so I can play, what, 20 games over the course of five years? Not really worht it to me.

Yeah; I just updated everything, and I'm still not good enough to run Oblivion at the standard I want (my fault, really, since I made a few decisions that work fine with every game BUT Oblivion.) Everything else runs faster than an emo kid's eyeliner, though.

Well dont' expect me to buy a first run console. $600 is a steep price to pay for a console, that's two other consoles, being the Wi and the 360. If the PS3 tanks because of price I won't be suprised. But that won't stop me from buying one if there are good games coming out for it ( ... )

I agree with a lot of your points, but I just don't see the next gen as replacing the computer, mainly due to its inability to do a lot of things.

I can see it. Most people have a computer for the above reasons. Media storage, a text program (IE MS Word) and internet acess. Once the Console prefects those things the bottom barrel computer will go the way of the dodo. I mean you already have a TV, and that's a 'good' monitor. (My arse) So why spend $500 on a computer when you can grab up a brand new console for $400 and you won't have some monitor taking up space?
