Weird thing, I got new trainers, and although I'm enjoying the fact I have a new item of clothing, I'm actually...well sad that I'm getting rid of my old trainers

Dude, you're getting rid of trainers you've only had for ONE YEAR???
My god, the extent of my attachment to my trusty trainers is thus: I wore the same ones every day for school (as well as doing P.E in them I wore them as my general footwear) from year 8 to y11 (I did have a couple of other 'in betweeny' pairs, but I didn't wear those as much as my trusty trainers). They then brought out the same model of trainers again when I was in 6th form (y12) so I bought those and they replaced my old trainers which have now been deemed my driving trainers coz all the lil ridges on the sole for grip have worn completely flat, so I can feel the clutch better. I now propose to wear my current trusty trainers until I'm at least 30, because I don't wear them as much as I wore the others that lasted from y8 til y11 and quite a bit of y12 also.
Wow, I never really thought til now, but those y8 trainers went with me through SO MUCH!!!
We all have that problem. We all buy things to buy them, plus, they are things we do enjoy. So, I doubt it is a major problem in any way. It's more of a way to please ourselves.
