Salesmanship

I've started to notice that a lot of my conversations with customers at work seem to go like this:

Them: Hey, what kind of cigar should I get?
Me: I like this one.
Them: Okay, I'll take a box.

It's a good thing I never studied marketing. I probably wouldn't be half as good a salesman.  If only I could sell myself with that kind of results.  To ( Read more... )

Whenever I start reading Heinlein I usually move on to Niven and some of Card's non-Ender stuff. Hard scifi is good.

I have some new Card non-Ender stuff that I plan on getting to when I finish this Heinlein. Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus. It looks pretty good.

I just reread his Worthing stuff. Not amazing, but it touches on some nice social points.
