For Jules....

Because aggiebell90 has had some rough few days and because her prompts attakingitinturns inspired me, I've begun writing a piece based on those prompts. It's titled "To All the Boys" and is a series of vignettes dedicated to the boys that Ginny has liked and loved in her life. The first, of course, is Neville. Since Julie is a Neville fan-girl, I thought I'd share it to ( Read more... )

I really enjoyed this little peek into Ginny's past. So many people praise and exclaim over Hermione's unfailing loyalty to Harry and she was a loyal friend to him. However, I think Ginny was also a loyal friend to Harry and others. I always liked the way she befriended and defended Neville and Luna. Thank so much!!! I'm looking forward to the rest of the vignettes.

Thank you so much! It's true that people didn't really "see" Ginny as a loyal friend to Harry for a long time. In OotP, she really came into her own, and I think what she said to Harry in HBP really rang true; she said something about being herself around him and having fun. It really made her into a good match for Harry.

Thank you so, SO much. This is just exactly what I need right now, and the fact that you specifically wrote it for me makes it that much more special-er. :)

I love the premise behind this, and I love seeing these scenes from Ginny's POV. I've always been really impressed with Ginny for keeping her promise to Neville and not dumping him to go to the ball with Harry who was, truthfully, the man of her dreams. Especially when you consider that she was only 13. That really shows a lot of maturity and integrity and, like njmb60 mentioned, loyalty.

Can't wait to read the rest!

Ginny matured so much between her first year and third year. I think somewhere at the beginning of her third year was when she and Hermione had that little talk about being herself. As Harry said later, "Smart girl, that Hermione," and that conversation led Ginny to really come into her own.

I'm so glad you like this and especially since it's not a missing moment we see all that often. That actually made it all the more appealing to write.

Oh, wonderful! I'm so glad you wrote this, it was a really great thing of you to do! And as a bonus I get some lovely fic to read as well :D I love Neville so much and I love the friendship between him and Ginny. I think you captured it really well, and the way Ginny stood up to those gossipy girls was spot on (you know that were just jealous that she was going anyway) and completely her. I love the bit about her not liking what Parvati did on the basis of Parvati being Harry's date. Very true to life, especially at 13. So well done. I'm off to read more!
