you think of them as invincible? weird, i think of popes as the opposite....like feeble. always really old guys and always really sick and in critical condition and having heart liver and kidney failure all at one time.

he spoke like 12 languages or something. thats freaking awesome. and impressive too.

I guess the invincibility thing, as illogical as it sounds, is more like "ooooh. he's an old wise man! he shal perpetuate!" But yeah, poor dude. He seemed pretty cool and he just up and dies. =\
