Day 4 - Your favorite Doctor?

This is probably the question I hate the most; but it's the one you face when you start talking to people about your fandom.
How can I be expected to pick?
It's an almost impossible decision to make, because they are, after all, the same man.
So, I'll say all of them, because they are all the Doctor.

You know what, maybe ( Read more... )

That's a very unique take on that question, but a thoroughly awesome one :) I like the way you think.

As it stands, I would have to answer, in the case of the 'Time Lord' Doctor, all of them except #6 - #8 (8 only because I've never seen the movie). And that includes Matt Smith. Despite the opinions of my mother, his latest few episodes have been pretty damn awesome.

I'm a '4', '5' or '10' girl myself. I hated '6' growing up, but I've started to warm to him a lot more now.
I have a super soft sport for '11' but that could just because he's like a puppy, how could anybody hate him? And I've been loving this season so far, although the two parter with cold blood was a little slow, but even then I found I enjoyed most of it.
My house are Matt Smith fans, but it's going to be a while before he can replace Tennant in our hearts.

Y'know, narrowing it down like that, I'd have to pin it between 3 and 10. After all, if it wasn't for three we'd never have reversed the polarity of the neutron flow :).

As for Matt Smith, his first few episodes seemed to me to be very dumb, though that's not his fault. Seriously though - space whales? And that episode was so disjointed plotwise that I could barely follow what was happening. Also, it was cool to see the Daleks return, but what is Moffat thinking with the new Paradigm design?! The colour schemes are a nice throwback, but the design looks awkward and clumsy, bulky, rather than the sleek and lethal metal frame of RTD's Daleks. And spitfires, in space. Again - seriously?

The series is growing on me though - it took a definite upswing with "Flesh and Stone" and "Amy's Choice". The Doctor's new character is really starting to show through, and the Crack is proving to be one of the coolest story-arc concepts yet.
