I was just sitting around in my room thinking, and I thought about some things that I'd like to put on paper. But since papers ultimatley decompose or get lost, I thought I'd write it on livejournal. My ideas are probably incoherent, so whatever. This is something that if I felt like figuring out how to eljay cut, I'd use it

Becuase what it is existence. Existence is being and being is living. And life has all sorts of boundaries. Not only that, but life always has to come to an end. The idea of god would be that he'd have no boundaires, would live forever, etc. I just couldn't see how the ideas of existence and god could be compatible.

As far as the drugs go, I think that if you do any drug just once and not become addicted, just to experience, as Mike put, other realities, then things would be cool. But you'd need to take precautions, like being in a safe enviornment (i.e. someone-you-trust's basement). It may be hard to just do a hard drug once and not become addicted, but if it's possible... then what the fuck?

I've come to my conclusion about drugs from:
1) People's experiences
2) Trainspotting
Renton says something in the beginning like: "people have forgotten the pleasure of it"
Yeah, pumping your body full of detrimental chemicals is probably the most idiotic thing ever, but just the pleasure of it all is euphoric. If a detrimental chemical can make you feel perfect for however long... all the more power to ya.
In a sense, perfection is death. After all, we're all going to die -- there's no doubt about that. But there's no racial bigotry in death. There are no wars in death. There's nothing. Everyone is the same.

The entire truth of perfection, I think, is way beyond anyone's grasp. I don't think that anybody has gotten it right yet, nor will they ever. There's just no one answer to anything. People need to find that balance between perfection and imperfection and just enjoy it for what it's worth. At least that's within our grasp.
