I was gonna post this in blog, but then I decided it was a happy post so it could go into livejournal. I don't post in blog very often, or at all, so don't you worry you're not missing anything ( Read more... )

The phrase "I will knife you" can be so good if you use it right. And not too often. Like, when the timing's good enough to arouse an actual mental picture of you knifing somebody - hilarious.

Yeah, I'd been thinking about the Youth Brigade theory too, ever since talking about it in the car like a month or two ago. I think that what I'm going to kind of do is aim for some sort of balance between now and "adulthood," and just try to be happy with whatever I get. I also want to keep control of my life, you know?

I just wanna keep open-minded and happy. I don't want to become ultimately settled into anything. I'm just going to try to evade droning routine as much as possible.

Yes" to everything. Especially Swingin' Utts band. You're a beautiful person.
I share all your sentiments, and I'm glad that you articulated them because I was feeling exactly like you were last night, and I definitely saw it in your face. Thanks. Youth Brigade just came on during ITunes shuffle.

Love,

don't get me started on how mad i am at missing the show last night danielioneye May 1 2005, 16:45:25 UTC
It's kind of a weird coincidence that you made the comment about wearing khakis and nikes, 'cause yesterday my mother told me I had to wear khakis to this wedding. I haven't worn khakis in like over two years, nor do I think I own a pair anymore.

But I totally said to her "I'm never going to wear khakis and the only time you'll ever catch me in them is when I'm in a fucking casket -- and even then, I will want to wear no pants at all." She got real upset.

I'd say I'm almost brave (or almost lame!),

Justin,
Thanks for the fucking kick ass show last night and every time. I wanted you guys to play for like two hours.
As far as the playing music your whole life goes, (the bane singer and all that) I've been planning on teaching and playing music for as long as I'm capable. If you want to be involved in music you should find something that you can make a living out of that won't fuck with playing music (summers/weekends off and shit)
Oh. Are you actually going to NYU? Because I'm staying at home and shit and that would fucking rule my ass.

yea, I agree with that. if you play music banking on you even making somewhat of a living off of it, it will fuck you.

The show last night was amaze.

And as for growing up, I think you can totally stay balanced with adulthood and being young as long as you don't give in to shit. Or give into anything too serious for that matter. Fuck, if you give in to one thing, you'll give in to the next thing, and then the next, and then the next, and then you lose your balls. You just have to keep standing for yourself and what you're about. Otherwise, you're finished.
