I have a history of modern philosophy final at 8am EST, aka 6 hours. My plan was to start studying for it yesterday, but that didn't work out because I had to spend all of yesterday, and 12am-530am today finishing my final paper for history of ancient philosophy. Then I unintentionally slept through the first two hours of work this morning, and ( Read more... )

yo magfag, i was literally just in the shower thinking about what your situation is for the summer(no homo). we should hang, and i'm not just bullshitting. yes, i was an asshole last summer, but believe me it's not completely my fault. i just tried to stay away from the situation in a whole and left it to everyone else. probably not the best way to handle it. but whatevs. i was thinking about calling you, then i thought how weird that conversation would go. anyway, i'm outta school this coming monday so keep in touch. i should have just e-mailed you. are you guys touring this summer? you are a nerd cause you like school. and i should put you in nadas, just cause.

we should def hang soon. Is Devin down here or in skidmore for his birthday (i'll probably ask him this too). Tour this summer is kind of insane. july 3-27. And this guy booked the entire thing for us...It goes as far as texas, minneapolis, and canada. I'm stoked but also kind of legitimately fearing for my life.

you make a lot of sense even though it seems that you don't think you do.
and for the record i just checked livejournal for the first time in about 2 or 3 months and decided to read your post because i noticed the first sentence. um are you a philosophy major? just out of curiousity.
but also. the stigma of "being from Westchester" is probably the worst. often when people ask me where i'm from i try throwing out new rochelle as though it were as recognizable as NYC, but when noone knows where that is I find myself mumbling westchester sort of pathetically under my breath. like i'm trying to show them that i agree with the stigma just as much, but that i'm totally not a part of it and my "westchester" is different or something.
but anyway. hi. and um. well that's it. and this was a sufficiently awkward, and totally disconnected livejournal comment.

a lot of times when I'm just meeting someone I'll just say like "upstate new york," even though thats a complete lie. Other times I'll be really weird and say I'm from a completely different part of the country, but explaining why I feel compelled to do this is a whole different story. And yeah it seems as though I am a philosophy major. y'know I've been up to bard a couple of times this past semester to see some people, always think I'm gonna really randomly run into you. do you ever hang out with a kid named ryan howe? real cool guy.

i think i actually randomly met him today, i think.
i knew you were up at bard one time playing at RJ's but i never made it there for one reason or another.
there is also this lady vanessa that i know. she lives upstairs. and she says she knows you (guys). uhh. actually when she found out i was from westchester she began rattling off names and then showed me a Twofold Truth sticker she had somewhere. it was funny. maybe you know her too. she is from mass. so i still haven't quite figured out how she knows you.
