I seriously had to scroll to the end of the story first because I couldn't bare to think anything bad had happened. I'm *so* glad that things turned out well.
OMG - if this had turned out bad I'd be in absolutely no shape to do an LJ entry, let alone anything else. But I don't want to even think about that.
My poor Dad got the worst of it, physically anyway. He's got a bruised and cut up shoulder, swollen hand where the lead rope got wrapped around it, a cut on his nose and his head.
My legs are sore from running and my stomach hurts from breathing so hard. Mentally, I'm still pretty f--ked up...but sooo, sooo glad he's safe.
Right now I don't plan on ever taking him anywhere ever again; Rene tells me that's stupid and I know it is, but that's my brain at the moment.
Now that I think back, I'm terrified...but at the time there was so much adrenaline going through me "I just HAVE to find my horse and nothing else matters" sort of deal.
I don't ever want to leave our farm ever, ever again!

And you're icon is appropriate because as soon as my Dad got home, he was like "I need a martini."
