Ok I couldn't bring myself to go see the movie, but I did read the book and just reading the book was enough to totally flip me out. I can't imagine watching it when reading it was bad enough. And your post makes sense to me because I 100% agree with you.

Was browsing around journals and found yours.. I totally understand about crying over animals getting hurt in films. I about beat my boyfriend because he didn't warn me about a scene in Butterfly Effect where a dog gets burned in a sac...I bawled my eyes out and got physically angry. I can't handle abuse of animals in films...even though I know the animal didn't get hurt.

Oh gosh...I remember that part of Butterfly Effect too. It was horrible, that whole movie was pretty twisted. I really don't understand why they have to show animals getting abused in films, I guess to make people like us upset.
