Even though not much is a worry for the pard anymore (besides themselves), Scud still plays with his weapons designs, still keeps his security systems updated. Several projects he never got a chance to work on remain, but a few of them are finished and lying on the bench in a row.
The four stake shotgun must've been purely for its own sake, as no vampires acquainted with the pard would even try to do anything. Reloadable with normal or silver stakes.
The original had belonged to Whistler, back when Blade thought he was still dead; it fired like a portable cannon, heavy but efficient. The modifications were Scud's, though. This is one he'd never let leave the house. That kid of his could get some funny ideas about how he'd gotten it.
He'd slaved over the bombs for months before finishing the first complete one a month ago, as according to plan. For this batch, he had a different metals supplier, and made a few adjustments to the timer.
