There is a police force here. We have a simple application process, found here, but a full resume is hardly required. In truth, most of our members are not trained police officers back home.

Ha, never thought I'd miss doing paperwork. Is that so? In some cases I think that's probably in their favor.

There are several with military backgrounds, but, no, most are not police officers in the strict sense.

I can imagine. I'm not technically a cop, but I don't suppose you get many carjackings here, so I think I'll be fine.

I will warn you, there is no payment for it and it is rather thankless. The people here do not like us very much. So if you do not mind that, you should fit in well if accepted.

I think only... two of us where ever officially cops back in our worlds. Other than that most of us just want to try and keep some semblance or order and justice to the city. Replace carjackings with multiple murders and assaults.
