I hate Twilight

Since I first read the first "Twilight" book, I have been incredibly disturbed by it. I couldn't put my finger on it beyond the less than spectacular writing, but something about it just bugged the shit out of me. The heroine just seemed so incredibly weak and passive. Thank-you! I don't get the Twilight mania. The books suck. The plot is weak, the characters are weak, and the writing is weak (the series only gets worse as it goes on - I skimmed the rest).

Now give me some Sookie Stackhouse, and I'm on it. Sure, Charlaine Harris is no prize writer, but she's funny, flippant and to the point. She gives a strong main character, and well... funny. I can do sad/drama if it's well written, but Twilight?
