nope. the average woman is supposed to be 70's - 80's the average man is supposed to be 60's - 70's somewhat athletic women 60's - 70's somewhat athletic men 50's - 60's.
Olympic athletes can have pulses below below 50. I met a swimmer with a resting pulse of 40 BPM.
55 is low but still healthy.
I think your friend pointed out you might have been dehydrated in a prior post and that that observation is prolly right. Low BP can also signal thyroid issues as well as adrenal problems.
