I greatly love "public service announcement" advertising campaign posters; when done well they are just amazing in their ability to get an often unpleasant or unpopular idea across in one simple image. And here's about a gazillion of them that were singled out for their creativity in some random French exhibition

Ooh I remember seeing that in the b3ta newsletter. Bit too much glitter and not enough blood for me; I think I'm with the "GORE SELLS!" crowd because I'm a squeamish wuss and fake blood = scaring me into behaving but it was very prettyfully done.

Motorcyclists careening into the sides of cars, pizza all over the inside of a windscreen, creepy dislocated joints girl sliding over the ground - they're the images that haunt me when I turn on the ignition!

I'm quite squeamish - very glad I didn't have to visit sainsbury's for lunch today due to old lady meets bus accident - but the gore ads just desensitise me! Cynical manipulation and I loathe it. Make me go gooey and you've won my attention. Make me go urgh and I'll ignore your message and loathe you.

They should at least try both though, to catch both crowds!
