Stocking up on ammunition is probably a wise way to go, but not for that reason. Costs on the stuff are going to be going up exponentially when the new legislation makes it through. Honestly, if one was worrying about keeping themselves armed (be it for defense or for hunting) then something like bows and the like are better choices in the longrun. If he is really worried about the economy, ignore the ammunition and focus on learning the skills to get by without the things you are used to. Improve the ability to produce your own food. Find ways to save on heating, lighting, etc. Just a thought. There is no reason to fear the future if things happen as long as you are ready for those potential changes.
