Wow, what a lovely fic! And my favourite Frost poem from when I was a kid.. It all works really well but with a nice light touch - not too much on the characters, just enough to show their potential.
It's also lovely, almost nostalgically gentle language that creates the mood, the wistfulness about the outcomes of the choice he might make.
Very enjoyable, please write more ;-)
