Hi, I'm guessing that would be the proper greeting to use when meeting or acknowledging a new personality you encounter. It is definately is the most widely accepted one, I sometimes find it to fall short of the job that I would like it to do, that job being to say "I mean you no harm, I am giving you the respect that I believe an independant being
