Ok, I'm not upset about this comment, because I understand where it's coming from, but here's some advice: next time when you're extending condolences to someone, don't say "that's why I don't..." It ascribes guilt to the victim. You're allowed to think it and talk about it with your other friends, but don't tell the victim that.
I'm so sorry Mikey. If it makes you feel any better, my cellular telephone was stolen off a table that was located on Nathan's second floor back deck of his house that is enclosed in a high fence and you need a key to get in and out of. I had left my cell phone out there unattended for about 15 minutes. (Not the same I know but it's human nature to relate to one's loss as a form of sympathy.) Basically sometimes people just suck.
