Your family house should always be your home. The room my sister stays in when she comes isn't her room, but this is still her home. My mom and I get really bummed out if/when she doesn't consider this place her home. I also don't think a house becomes a home for a really long time. Like, Marissa's current apartment definitely isn't her home.

That's great what you and your parents are doing for your aunt and uncle, and I'm sorry that you might be losing your bedroom. I wouldn't disregard law school or the Tampa job at all. There are major setbacks and benefits to both options. Despite everything, I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

Ain't that the truth. I always get freaked out whenever I accidentally refer to my Gainesville apartment as "home" because home = my parents' house, period. But it still slips out every now and then. But my parents' house will always be my home (until I have a family of my own, I guess).

The weirdest part about all of this is that my house and my home will become two separate things, lol.

And thanks, I had a great Thanksgiving! Good food is almost always a remedy for bad news in these parts, haha.

It's weird - I remember pretty much where everything is in someone's house. I visit my aunt and uncle once a year, but I know where everything is. Even at my sister's house, I know where everything is and while I'm there more often than anyone else, I'm not there all the time.

But anyway. It's sad that you'll have to give up your room. I mean, it's great that you're doing this for your family, but... I would have cried, too :( I also think that even if you're not living there, your house will always be your home *HUGS*

God, I can NEVER remember ANYTHING in someone else's house, lol. But I'm surprised too that I forgot where things were in my own house! I thought I had a better attention span than that, but I guess not? Haha. It took me like seven minutes to find the spice cabinet -_- Shaaame.

As for my room situation...it'll be weird, that's for sure. I've had the same room for fourteen years now, and it'll be very strange not to come home and collapse into my bed. But I agree, it'll always be home, just not my house? Idk how to explain it, lol. But at least I'll always feel welcome there!
