One week left until I finish off my first semester here at NYU. What can I say? This has been an incredible experience: I've met independent filmmakers, composers, M. Night Shyamalan, Bryce Howard, got a free screening of The Village, saw Rodrigeuz's short film, and most of all - made 5 short films ( Read more... )

thanx but you can keep it. and, its alrite, you dont have to watch the movie again The Village really did suck. and it breaks my heart.

During Shaymalan's interview, people would ask him about his inspirations and if he watches a certain film before he starts writing a new script. He went on about how he doesn't really use his inspirations and that he just does it all himself, I thought that was a bit too cocky to hear considering the fact he uses Hitchcock's cameo in every film. There is nothing wrong with doing so, but you just have to accept that Hitchcock gave that inspiration ( ... )

Hey, man. It's Dan. I had the link you sent me to your journal, so I looked it up.
I saw The Village the other night and was really into it until M. Night dropped that dissappointing ending, although I thought the film was well done despite the mistakes in the script, kind of like A.I., at least for me anyway.

Yo,

Yeah it's cool, I'll add you when I get a chance.

I won't be coming to Tally anymore, I am currently in post-production for my last film for the semester, classes end this Friday and I will be leaving to South Florida on Sunday. I will no longer be going to Tally, so unless I'm up there visitng friends... I don't see myself there anytime soon.

I have written two scripts one which I will direct the other DP over the three week period that I will be home. I finally got a mac - PowerBook G4, so I'm lookin forward to getting some editing experience with Final Cut Pro. These macs are awesome.

Hopefully, you'll be up in NYC again and we can chill... sorry about last time my schedule was just way crazy. But I'm sure you understand... its film school.
