The epilogue pretty much was a horrible fanfic, but I found it tremendously amusing. There are a bunch of Potter and Weasley spawn. And Harry tells his son (Albus Severus) that Snape was one of the bravest men he'd ever known. Oh, there I am, tearing up again.
It's really strange, but I found myself becoming fond of Harry only in the last week or so, after I saw the Phoenix movie and re-read Books 5 & 6. Before I didn't think it would be a big deal to me if he died, but I was so afraid and sad and proud of him when he was going into the Forest to face his death, I didn't think I could cope if Voldemort killed him. (Plus, think of the children. Isn't it amazing that children read these books?) I think I started really caring about him for the first time.
