Let me preface this entry with a statement of absolute truth:

I don’t write Potterfic.

Ever.

I confess that I do read it much more often than any other fanfiction out there, but despite the fact that Harry/Hermione is, was, and always will be my favourite pairing out of anything and everything I have ever read, watched, or played, I still ( Read more... )

Thank you! I just love this scene so much in both the book and the movie (but especially the book), I guess I couldn't keep my mind--or my hands--off of it. :]

Oh thank God you posted it because it's beautiful! :( I just keep thinking about JK's quote "Harry shared something intense with Hermione" (is that right?)
And you described it very beautifully and this is my favorite H/Hr moment and you only made me appreciate it more:)

...Weeeeell I guess not quite absolute--a while back I did write a Potterfic about Sirius and Hermione bonding over crossword puzzles. X'D But that was genfic (obviously, I'd hope, lol), not HHr really, so I didn't count it.

But it's 100% true that a large part of why I've not written for this pairing and fandom is because...it's daunting, almost to the extent of being outright terrifying, considering how much awesome stuff is out there already.
