My friend Dan was shot and killed Friday night at his home in Portland. Probably interupted a burglary.
I had all these thoughts rushing through my head and I felt like "I have to write!" but now that I am sitting here, I don't know where to start.
Dan was an amazing person. I tried to work it out last night and I think I've known him for over 10

Other times he would get so wound up he would litterally be bouncing off the walls, clapping his hands, calling for the cats, or Jon, or whomever was closest to come play with him. I never saw him tired or sad.

This is how I will always remember him.

This is lovely. Getting to see him smiling, sunkissed, and goofy.

I can't imagine losing someone I love, someone so vital. Not in this way. It's horrific and stupid, and it makes me angry more than anything else. Angry that something so precious can be taken away in an instant.

I'm really glad that I got the chance to meet Dan.
